Do The Math opened September 2, 2008.  We are owned and operated by Rae Lynn Westby, a certificated  high school math teacher with 11 years experience teaching nearly all  levels and styles of high school math curricula. Ms. Westby taught at North Central High School for one year and spent the rest of her teaching career  at Lewis and Clark High School, one of the nations top 1200 public high schools, where she taught a variety of courses including Pre-Calculus and Advanced Placement Statistics.  Former students of hers have gone on to 4 year colleges such as Notre Dame, Yale, Columbia, Stanford, and Dartmouth.  

 

Our sessions are 50 minutes and have a 5 to 1 student - teacher ratio.  The small class size allows us to interact with students on a more individual basis involving in-depth personal assistance.  We attempt to schedule students in similar peer groups by the type and level of math in which they are enrolled.  Do The Math offers tutoring in Traditional Math (Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry), Integrated Math, Core Plus, Pre-Calculus, AP Statistics, and AP Calculus, as well as a variety of undergraduate college courses.  We believe in helping students to realize they can succeed and allowing them to reach their full potential.  With our help, students will be ready to "do the math"!
